What Happened to Genetic Apex
If you’re like us, you were stoked when Space-Time Smackdown released. It seemed like the Pocket App had deliberately made everyone be in a serious dry spell, even the Wonder Picks were lacking to the point that we were at full Wonder Stamina for a week or two. But now there were over 200 new cards to pull? And so many pretty artworks and new moves and Pokemon now available? We were jonesing for that little “New” bubble to pop up on a card when we opened a fresh pack.
Of course, the high of a new set releasing quickly went away since we still haven’t finished pulling all the artworks for Genetic Apex. While trying to poke around and see what cards were missing, mild panic set in as we realized we couldn’t find the packs from the Homepage! The completionist in me had a complete breakdown for 2 minutes thinking “oh no, I’ll never get that Illustration Rare MewTwo Ex immersive card”
Don’t Panic, You Can Still Open Genetic Apex
Unfortunately it seems like the App has buried the “older” sets, but you can definitely still open them. In the past you’d click on a Pack and Go Back to select the other set or expansion. But now there are three unique sets so if you want to open an older pack, you’re going to have to hunt for it.
Read on for instructions on how to Open Genetic Apex and other older sets as more release:
- Click on any pack from the Home
- Click “Select other Booster Packs” banner in the bottom right
- Below the Pack Point Exchange
- Select Expansion
