Trading Feature Update
So, apparently Pokémon has been reading my diary about the uselessness of Shine Dust and how frustrating it is to earn Trade Tokens. Players are in store for a functionality update coming the end of autumn, which means we all just need to be patient for a little while longer.
For the uninitiated – Trade Tokens allow you to trade cards within the TCG Pocket App. The only problem is, it is pretty difficult to earn them without the dev team gifting you 500 every once in awhile or as a reward for completing a mission. That means, if you wanted to trade with a friend, the only way to earn Trade Tokens was to literally destroy a duplicate card. As painful as that is, what made it worse was the blood offering couldn’t be a common card.
Apparently players have been complaining and thank goodness developers Creatures Inc. and DeNA listened. The solution:
A purpose for SHINE DUST! Shine Dust will be taking the place of Trade Tokens – how? We’re not sure. We feel like some currency conversion is going to take place though, because both myself and Pokefang have the max amount possible: 99,999.
Even better, as you may have noticed in our previous article about trading – it can be really difficult to trade with someone unless you can physically look at their inventory and figure out what they need versus what you have. Apparently the TCG Pocket App is working on a solution for that as well:
- The ability for players to share a list of cards you’re interested in trading for
- Explore trading for two-star rarity cards and promotional cards
We’ll be keeping a vigilante eye for updates but excited that it seems like things are moving toward improvements.
