The TCG Pocket App is trying something different
If you’re a collector like me in the Pokemon TCG Pocket App, then one of your favorite little side missions is unlocking the Themed Collections as you collect the cards. Sure you win some fancy Emblem Tickets by doing so, so you can buy the Giratina emblem. But that’s not the point.
The point is the fun challenge and old school gotta catch em all vibes! In the past there were maybe ten or twenty missions, and completing them gained you an arbitrary amount of emblem tickets. Sometimes it was one, sometimes 5 and sometimes 25 – who knows why!? This time around it will be a painstaking endeavor to collect all your emblem tickets as there are 32 missions, 18 of which will grant you tickets.
And even better, looks like the developers have brought back Secret Missions! We’re not quite sure how many there are, but we’re at Shiny Museum – 3 and the rewards are glorious.

- Beach Peekaboo – Collect Wiglett and Wugtrio
- Shadows of the Distortion World – Collect two Giratinas
- Bewitching World – Collect the full Abra, Kadabra and Alakazam evolution
- 1,000 Punches – Collect the full Machop, Machoke and Machamp evolution
- Henchman and Boss? – Collect Dondozo and Tatsugiri (and yes the question mark is non-negotiable)
- Punching and Kicking – Collect Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee
- Exploding all over the Place – Collect Voltorb and Electrode
- Expanding Body – Jigglypuff and Wigglytuff
Someone over at the app worked overtime naming these missions, and we have to say we very much appreciate it!
