English Rival Battles Decks with IR Promos Coming on May 16th

‘Marnie’s Morpeko and Grimmsnarl ex’ and ‘Steven’s Beldum and Metagros ex’ decks have been revealed in English as the Rival Battle Decks. Much like the Japanese sets revealed a few weeks ago, they will contain an Illustration Rare of Marnie’s Morpeko and Steven’s Beldum, however they will be in the form of a Black Star Promo (still unclear if these will be in the Destined Rivals expansion). The Two Marnie’s Grimmsnarl ex and two Steven’s Metagross ex from their respective decks are regular main set cards (not black star promos). Each deck includes 60 cards total and some accessories like a paper play mat, damage counters, a deck box, and coin. *This product does not contain booster packs.

Each Product Includes:

1 ready-to-play 60-card deck.
1 set of damage counter.
1 large metallic coin.
1 deck box.
1 Double-sided Playmat And Strategy Sheet.
1 code card to play this deck online.

The inclusion of standard main set ex cards from Destined Rivals confirms that said expansion will include cards from these decks, which was speculated earlier on. It also gives us some insight into the size of Destined Rivals with Grimmsnarl ex, and Metagross ex featured on the back of the box having the main set numbering in the bottom left – that number being 182 (before secret rares).

It’s worth noting that the contents of the Rival Battle decks and their Japanese twins are not identical. The Japanese version was released on February 21, 2025 with unique packaging and contents.
